SBL Round 1 (Regular Season): Keelung BK take a leadership position

The Regular Season in SBL just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Keelung BK defeated Yulon Luxgen at home 80-69. Keelung BK outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 43-29 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Wendell Lewis (204-1989, college: Alabama St.) fired 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. chipped in 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. American Brandon Moss (204-1994, college: LSUA) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Yulon Luxgen's coach Chi-Yi Lee rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Yulon Luxgen will play next round against strong Bank of Taiwan trying to get back on the winning streak. Keelung BK will try to continue on its current victory against Changhua on the road.
Changhua recorded a loss against Taiwan Beer. Taiwan Beer were defeated by Taiwan Beer 83-68. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds. Chun-Sheng Wang contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. American power forward Kwame Alexander (201-1990, college: CSUSB, agency: BIG) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds for Changhua. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Taipei to the arena Bank of Taiwan.
A very close game was the one between Keelung BK and Taiwan Beer. Keelung BK got a very close victory over Taiwan Beer. Keelung BK managed to escape with a 3-point win 88-85 on Friday evening. Kai-Hsiang Hu stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Brendon Smart responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Taiwan Beer's coach Meng-Chu Liu tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Keelung BK will meet Changhua on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against Changhua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

At the losing side responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Gerard Tarin produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yulon Luxgen will meet Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taiwan Beer will play against Changhua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Changhua defeated Bank of Taiwan 84-77 on Saturday. At the losing side American Brandon Moss (204-1994, college: LSUA) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and Jhe-Ting Lin scored 22 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Changhua will meet Taiwan Beer in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Yulon Luxgen and hope to win that game.

Very expected game when Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Bank of Taiwan 81-69 on Friday. James Padgett stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Chia-He Chang chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side American Brandon Moss (204-1994, college: LSUA) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 19 rebounds and 7 blocks and Shao-Fu Lan scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bank of Taiwan will again meet Yulon Luxgen in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against Changhua and hope to win that game.
