Hsiao number one in Taiwan WSBL for round 2 (by Hoops Agents)

Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-C-2005) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Cathay Life Tigers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds, while her team crushed Taipower (#3, 1-2) with 19-point margin 71-52. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese WSBL. The season is still on an early stage, but Cathay Life already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. It's Hsiao's second year at Tigers and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Yu-Wen Hsiao has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 16.0ppg and leads league in rebounds with 17.7rpg. Hsiao is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 52.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Rui-Zhen Song (160-PG) of Taiwan Power. Song had a very good evening with 20 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Power lost that game 52-71 to Cathay Life (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Song is a newcomer at Taipower, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.7ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 4.7rpg and 3.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Cathay Life's star - international forward Yu-Lien Hsu (177-F-1997). Hsu scored 16 points. She was another key player of Cathay Life Tigers, helping her team with a 71-52 easy win against #3 ranked Taipower in a game of the week. Tigers started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Hsu turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Hsu has a great season in Taiwan. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.3ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 5.7rpg (4th best).
