Taipei Fubon Braves (PLeague+) inked experienced 37-year old American 198cm forward Michael Singletary (college: Texas Tech). It is actually his comeback to Braves as he has played here before. He played most recently at Kesatria Bengawan Solo in Indonesian IBL league. In 8 games he recorded 13.3ppg, 6.8rpg and 4.0apg last season. He also played for Hitech Bangkok City in Thailand league earlier that season where in 6 Basketball Champions League Asia games he averaged impressive 20.7ppg, 7.8rpg, 4.8apg and 1.3spg.
In 2012 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) in third round (34th overall).
The former Texas Tech University standout is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Singletary is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to ten different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Singletary has played professionally in Belgium (Pepinster), Greece, Italy (Ravenna), Japan (Evessa), Montenegro, Philippines (Barako Bull and Beermen), Uruguay (Bigua), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks) and Thailand (Mono Vampire). He won Thailand BTL championship title in 2025.
Among many awards he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ Forward of the Year back in 2022.
Singletary is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Fubon Braves.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
