Gerard Tarin (ex Dijlah) signs at Taiwan Beer

Taiwan Beer (SBL) signed 29-year-old American 206cm forward Gerard Tarin (college: Nova SE). He last played at Dijlah in the Iraqi Superleague. In 25 games, he averaged 14.6ppg, 7.1rpg, and 2.0apg last season. He assisted them in reaching the Iraqi League final after finishing the regular season as the second-best team. It was a successful year for him as he was selected for the Asia-Basket.com All-Iraqi League Third Team.
In 2021, three years after his graduation, Memphis Hustle selected him as the third overall pick in the G-League draft.
Tarin graduated from NSU in 2018 and it's his 8th season in pro bball.
He is a very experienced player, and thanks to pro basketball, he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. Tarin is familiar with European, Asian, and of course North American leagues. He has played professionally in Bulgaria (Chernomorets), Jordan (Al Ahli), Saudi Arabia (Al Ansar), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and SLC Stars), and Albania (Vllaznia).
Tarin won the Jordanian League championship title in 2023. He received the Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Player of the Year award and the Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Import Player of the Year award during 2023.
He attended a camp at Eurobasket Summer League before pursuing a career in pro basketball. Tarin also played for Salem University for 2 years.
