Griciunas' double-double lands him PLeague+ Player of the Week award

31-year old Lithuanian center Benas Griciunas (210-C-1994, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked TSG Ghosthawks and receives a Hoops Agents PLeague+ Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat YKE (#4, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 102-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Ghosthawks is placed at 2nd position in Taiwanese PLeague+. Ghosthawks is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Griciunas turned to be Ghosthawks' top player in his first season with the team. Eastern Washington University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Griciunas is in league's top in points (9th best: 14.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.0rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 75.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joof Alasan (205-F-2002) of Hsinchu Yankey Engineering. He is Gambian forward in his first season at YKE. In the last game Alasan recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as YKE lost that game 90-102 to Ghosthawks (2-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Alasan is a newcomer at YKE and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.5ppg (#6). He also registered 12.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Archie Goodwin (196-G-1994) of Taipei Fubon Braves (#3). Goodwin showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Goodwin's great performance the Fubon Braves lost 99-105 to #1 ranked Pilots. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Fubon Braves can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Goodwin has individually a great season in Taiwan. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.7ppg (5th best) and assists with 4.0apg (5th best).
