PLeague+ Round 3 (Regular Season): Pilots defeat Fubon Braves

There were just three rounds played in Regular Season of PLeague+ and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Pilots (4-0) which played against Fubon Braves (1-3). Pilots managed to get a 6-point victory 105-99. Pilots outrebounded Fubon Braves 65-47 including a 27-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. 30 personal fouls committed by Fubon Braves helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with 24 points and 9 rebounds. contributed with 20 points and 7 assists for the winners. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-1988, college: NM State) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for Fubon Braves. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pilots are looking forward to face YKE (#4) in Hsinchu in the next round. Fubon Braves will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Ghosthawks (2-2) which played against YKE (0-2). Ghosthawks managed to get a 12-point victory 102-90. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Benas Griciunas (210-1994, college: EWU, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). DeMon Brooks helped adding 23 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Treveon Graham (198-1993, college: VCU) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ghosthawks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. YKE will play again on the road against Ghosthawks (#2) in Tainan and hopes to get finally their first victory.

It was an exceptional evening for Chun-Hsiang Lu who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 assists. DeMon Brooks came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Ghosthawks in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pilots will meet YKE (#4) in the next round. Ghosthawks will play against YKE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 17 points and 7 rebounds by Alec Brown of Pilots.



Fubon Braves - Pilots 99-105

An interesting game for Pilots (4-0) which played against Fubon Braves (1-3). Pilots managed to get a 6-point victory 105-99. YKE - Ghosthawks 90-102

An interesting game for Ghosthawks (2-2) which played against YKE (0-2). Ghosthawks managed to get a 12-point victory 102-90. Ghosthawks dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to YKE's 44. They outrebounded YKE 56-38 including 21 on the offensive glass. Ghosthawks players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ghosthawks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. YKE will play again on the road against Ghosthawks (#2) in Tainan and hopes to get finally their first victory.
