Fourth-ranked Lioneers (4-5) were very close to win a game against first ranked Leopards (10-1) in Taoyuan on Saturday. Leopards managed to secure only two-point victory 96-94. However their fans expected easier game. Taiwan Beer L. made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Malcolm Miller (201-1993, college: Holy Cross) contributed with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds for Lioneers. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dreamers. The winners were led by Lasan Kromah who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks by Aric Holman did not help to save the game for Dreamers. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards have a solid four-game winning streak. Taiwan Beer L. maintains first position with 10-1 record. Dreamers at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Taiwan Beer L. will meet league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
