Fourth-ranked Lioneers (4-5) were very close to win a game against first ranked Leopards (10-1) in Taoyuan on Saturday. Leopards managed to secure only two-point victory 96-94. However their fans expected easier game. Taiwan Beer L. made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Malcolm Miller (201-1993, college: Holy Cross) contributed with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds for Lioneers. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leopards have a solid four-game winning streak. Taiwan Beer L. maintains first position with 10-1 record. Lioneers lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Taiwan Beer L. are looking forward to face league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lioneers will play against Kaohsiung A. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Leopards (10-1) which played against 3rd ranked Dreamers (5-6). First ranked Leopards managed to get a 13-point victory 105-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dreamers. The winners were led by Lasan Kromah who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks by Aric Holman did not help to save the game for Dreamers. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards have a solid four-game winning streak. Taiwan Beer L. maintains first position with 10-1 record. Dreamers at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Taiwan Beer L. will meet league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dreamers will play against Kaohsiung A. and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 8 N.Taipei CTBC beat Taipei TM 108-104. Taipei TM won against Kaohsiung A. 96-91.
