American Power forward Drew Pember (211-F/C-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Hsinchu Lioneers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Kaohsiung A. (#7, 2-7) 97-89. Lioneers is placed at 2nd position in Taiwanese TPBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Lioneers will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Pember turned to be Lioneers' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of North Carolina - Asheville star has very solid stats this year. Pember is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.2rpg) and averages impressive 74.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Lasan Kromah (198-SG-1991, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) of league's leader Taiwan Beer Leopards. Kromah had a very good evening with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course Leopards cruised to a 112-102 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Taipei TM (#5, 3-3). Of course Taiwan Beer L. still keep the league's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 6 games without any defeat. Kromah is one of the most experienced players at Taiwan Beer L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.6ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 8.4rpg and 7.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Canadian center Jordy Tshimanga (211-C-1996, agency: Interperformances) of Taipei Taishin Mars (#5). Tshimanga scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). Despite Tshimanga's great performance the Taipei TM lost 102-112 to the league's current leader Taiwan Beer L. (#1, 6-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Taipei TM needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Tshimanga has a great season in Taiwan. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 14.8rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marko Todorovic (208-F-1992) of N.Taipei CTBC - 18 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jayden Gardner (201-F-2000) of Kings - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
