TPBL Regular Season is still in too early stage and there may be still significant changes in the standings. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Round 3 most important game was a defeat of Kings (2-3). They were defeated by Aquas (2-2) 91-79 on Saturday night. It was a great evening for American guard Justin James (201-1997, college: Wyoming) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) helped adding 17 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Austin Daye (209-1988, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Aquas will try to continue on its current victory against Taiwan Beer L. in Taoyuan.
Taipei TM (1-1) recorded a loss against N.Taipei CTBC. N.Taipei CTBC were defeated by N.Taipei CTBC 91-78. It was an exceptional evening for Swedish forward Viktor Gaddefors (201-1992, agency: 011 Sports) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Nemanja Radovic accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Zach Lofton (193-1992, college: NM State, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for Taipei TM in the defeat. Taipei TM's coach Hao-Cheng Hsu rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. N.Taipei CTBC will play against Lioneers (#5) in Hsinchu in the next round. Taipei TM will play on the road against Kaohsiung A. to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a loss of N.Taipei CTBC (2-1) against Leopards (2-0) on Sunday night. N.Taipei CTBC was crushed by Leopards 104-80. The best player for the winners was Lasan Kromah who scored 25 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Cheng-Rui Zhou who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards will meet Kaohsiung A. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. N.Taipei CTBC will play against Lioneers and hope to secure a win.
