Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) responded with 12 points and guard Shi-Zan Xu (164) scored 12 points and 5 steals. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
