Tevin Glass gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese SBL (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American Tevin Glass (203-C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Bank of Taiwan and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 30-year old center had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Changhua (11-13) 78-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Bank of Taiwan is placed at 2nd position in Taiwanese SBL. Bank of Taiwan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-13 record. Glass just recently signed at Bank of Taiwan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. East Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Glass is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.7ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.8rpg), assists (6th best: 2.6apg) and averages solid 2.5spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Erdenetsetseg Sugar-Ochir (200-C-1999) of Changhua. Sugar-Ochir impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds. Of course he led Changhua to another comfortable win 78-65 over Taiwan Beer (11-13) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Changhua consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-13 record. Sugar-Ochir is well-known by Changhua fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.9ppg (#7). He also registered 7.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Chieh-Min Lu (183-G-1995) of Taiwan Beer (#4). Lu got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. Despite Lu's great performance the Taiwan Beer lost 75-77 to #1 ranked Yulon Luxgen. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Taiwan Beer ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lu could help Taiwan Beer to bring them higher in the standings. Lu has a great season in Taiwan. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 1.4apg (best passer).

7. Zhao-Qun Chen (193-F-2000) of Changhua - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Tien-You Yang (170-G-1993) of Changhua - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Wei-Cheng Wang (180-PG-1999) of Bank of Taiwan - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists
10. Hung-Yu Huang (185-G-1999) of Changhua - 19 points and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
