Briscoe number one in Taiwanese PLeague+ for round 19 (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Isaiah Briscoe (190-PG-1996) had a great game in the last round for Kaohsiung Steelers, receiving a Hoops Agents PLeague+ Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 28-year old player was the main contributor (39 points, nine rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Pilots (#1, 17-6) 116-108. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Steelers maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese PLeague+. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 18 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game Briscoe had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Steelers' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Kentucky star has very solid stats this year. Briscoe is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.1ppg and is league's best passer with 8.3apg. Briscoe is in league's top in and averages impressive 54.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Steelers' star - young Canadian Jordy Tshimanga (211-C-1996, agency: Interperformances). Tshimanga had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 20 rebounds. Of course Kaohsiung Steelers cruised to a 116-108 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Pilots (#1, 17-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Steelers consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Steelers managed to get this year. Tshimanga is a newcomer at Steelers, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American center Brandon Walters (208-C-1995) of league's second-best Taipei Fubon Braves. Walters scored 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Fubon Braves, leading his team to a 98-93 win against #1 ranked Pilots. Fubon Braves needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 9 lost games. Walters has a great season in Taiwan. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.2rpg (7th best). He also has 1.6bpg and a FGP of 56.4%.

9. Kuei-Yu Chou (193-F/G-1998) of Fubon Braves - 14 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Tzu-Wei Lin (188-G-2000) of Pilots - 8 points and 2 assists
