John Fields gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese SBL

Experienced American John Fields (205-F/C-1988) had a very impressive game in the last round for Changhua and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 36-year old power forward had a double-double of 26 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat Yulon Luxgen (8-7) 78-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Changhua maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese SBL. Changhua is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-7 record. Fields just recently signed at Changhua, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Tennessee graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fields is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.9ppg), assists (8th best: 2.5apg) and averages solid 1.6bpg and 60.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Brandon Moss (207-PF-1994) of second-ranked Yulon Luxgen Dinos. Moss impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Yulon Luxgen lost that game 68-78 to Changhua (8-7). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Yulon Luxgen still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 8-7 record is not bad at all. Moss is one of the most experienced players at Yulon Luxgen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 19.1rpg and 4.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Tevin Glass (203-C-1994) of Bank of Taiwan (#4). Glass scored 25 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bank of Taiwan, leading his team to a 95-82 easy win against #3 ranked Changhua. The chances of Bank of Taiwan not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Glass could try to bring Bank of Taiwan's a little bit higher in the standings. Glass has individually a great season in Taiwan. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.2ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 15.2rpg (3rd best) and assists with 2.5apg (6th best).

8. Erdenetsetseg Sugar-Ochir (200-C-1999) of Changhua - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Tien-You Yang (170-G-1993) of Changhua - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Shih-Hsuan Lin (177-G-1999) of Yulon Luxgen - 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
