Cocodrilos de Caracas (SPB) signed experienced 34-year old American power forward Willie Reed (211cm-111kg-1990, college: St.Louis, agency: Octagon Europe) for upcoming 2025 season. Reed played last season at Tainan GhostHawks in Taiwanese PLeague+, but was released by the team in Feb.'24. In only one TPBL game he recorded 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks.
In 2012 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Springfield Armor (D-League) in second round (30th overall).
The former Saint Louis University standout is in his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
Reed is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Reed has played previously professionally in Greece, Israel (Hapoel Eilat), Montenegro (Buducnost), Spain (Fuenlabrada), NBA (Chicago Bulls, Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, LA Clippers and Brooklyn Nets), NBA G League (SLC Stars, Springfield A., Iowa Wolves, Stockton Kings and Grand Rapids Gold), Dominican Republic (Metros), NBA Summer League (Utah Jazz) and The Basketball Tournament (Loyalty is Love). He was also voted to USBasket.com All-D-League Honorable Mention back in 2013 and 2014.
His team won Montenegrin Cup in 2022.
