Sani Sakakini gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese T1 League

Experienced Palestinian Sani Sakakini (204-C/F-1988) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader New Taipei Kings and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 36-year old had a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Lioneers (#7, 5-13) 114-106. It allowed Kings to jump to the first place in the Taiwanese T1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kings has a very solid 12-4 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Sakakini had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kings' top player in his first season with the team. Sani Sakakini averages this season 20.5ppg and 8.8rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Landers Nolley II (201-G-2000) of Hsinchu Lioneers. Nolley II impressed basketball fans with 44 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Lioneers lost that game 106-114 to the higher-ranked Kings (#1, 12-4). Lioneers are still at the very bottom. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Lioneers managed to get this year. Nolley II is one of the most experienced players at Lioneers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Craig Sword (190-SG-1994) of Kaohsiung Aquas (#3). Sword got into 30-points club by scoring 39 points in the last round. He was a key player of Aquas, leading his team to a 105-95 win against #2 ranked Dreamers in a game of the week. Kaohsiung A. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 8 lost games. Sword has a very solid season. In 5 games in Taiwan he scored 21.0ppg.

10. Wen-Ju Su (187-SG-1997) of Kaohsiung A. - 22 points and 2 rebounds
