Liao number one in Taiwan WSBL for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

Wei-Qing Liao put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Taiyuan Textile, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The player was the main contributor (29 points, nine rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Taipower (#4, 0-9) with 38-point margin 84-46. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Taiyuan Textile to take over top position in the Taiwanese WSBL. Taiyuan T. have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Liao had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. She just recently signed at Taiyuan Textile, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Wei-Qing Liao has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 11.8ppg) and rebounds (5th best: 6.0rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Taiyuan T.'s star - young German Marie Guelich (194-C-1994). Guelich had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Taiyuan Textile cruised to a 74-64 relatively comfortable win over Cathay Life (7-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Guelich is one of the most experienced players at Taiyuan Textile and similarly like Wei-Qing Liao has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.4ppg (#2). She also registered 9.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was New Zealand forward Penina Davidson (190-F-1995) of league's second-best Cathay Life Tigers. Davidson showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Cathay Life, leading her team to a 91-67 easy win against #3 ranked Chunghua T. in a game of the week. Cathay Life needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Davidson has a great season in Taiwan. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 9.2rpg (3rd best).
