Taipei Taishin Mars sign Thomas Robinson, ex Astros

Thomas Robinson

Taipei Taishin Mars (TPBL) signed 33-year old American center Thomas Robinson (203cm-109kg-1991, college: Kansas). He played last season at Astros in Mexican LNBP. In three games just recently he had 11.0ppg, 7.7rpg and 1.3apg. This summer he played at Homentmen Beirut (LBL) in Lebanese league.
In 2012 he was drafted by Sacramento Kings (NBA) as #5 pick overall. He graduated from University of Kansas and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
Robinson is quite experienced player. He has played in fourteen different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Robinson has played previously professionally in China (Blue Whales and Royal Fighters), Indonesia (Pelita Jaya), Lebanon, Philippines (Warriors), Puerto Rico (Leones, Fajardo, Capitanes, Cangrejeros and Criollos), Russia (Khimki), Turkey (Bahcesehir), NBA (Atlanta Hawks), South Korea (Samsung Thunders), NBA G League (Maine Celtics), Nicaragua (Real Esteli), NBA Summer League (San Antonio Spurs) and The Basketball Tournament (Mass Street).
Among many awards his team won VTB United League Regular Season in 2020. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Basketball Champions League Americas Honorable Mention in 2023.
