Bryan Griffin gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese T1 League (by Hoops Agents)

South Korean-American Bryan Griffin (203-C-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for New Taipei CTBC DEA and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 26-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Kaohsiung A. (#3, 3-2) 107-97. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. N.Taipei CTBC maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese T1 League. N.Taipei CTBC is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Griffin turned to be N.Taipei CTBC's top player in his first season with the team. Xavier University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Griffin is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.8rpg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Anthony Morse (206-F-1994) of Kaohsiung Aquas. Morse impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Aquas lost that game 97-107 to N.Taipei CTBC (2-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Morse is a newcomer at Kaohsiung A. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another N.Taipei CTBC's star - American Chevez Goodwin (206-C-1998, agency: BIG). Goodwin scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of New Taipei CTBC DEA, helping his team with a 107-97 win against #3 ranked Kaohsiung A. in a game of the week. N.Taipei CTBC needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Goodwin has a great season in Taiwan. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.7ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 16.3rpg (#1 in league).
