TPBL Round 2 (Regular Season): Kings keep a leadership position

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in T1 League. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Kings defeated Dreamers in Taipei 88-81. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dreamers' 36. They outrebounded Dreamers 57-43 including a 48-33 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kings made 7 blocks. Naturalized American point guard Jeremy Lin (191-1988, college: Harvard) scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) chipped in 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American Beau Beech (203-1994, college: UNF) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Dreamers' coach Jamie Pearlman rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dreamers will play next round against strong N.Taipei CTBC trying to get back on the winning streak. Kings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.

American power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Huai-An Chen supported him with 14 points and 9 assists. Aquas' coach Mathias Fischer used entire bench in such tough game. Even 29 points and 4 assists by American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn, agency: LHZ Sport Agency) did not help to save the game for Taiwan Beer L.. Aquas will play against N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round. Leopards will play against Taipei TM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game was the one between N.Taipei CTBC and Kings. N.Taipei CTBC got a very close victory over Kings. N.Taipei CTBC managed to escape with a 1-point win 99-98 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Bryan Griffin who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. N.Taipei CTBC's coach Momir Ratkovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Chris Johnson produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds for N.Taipei CTBC. N.Taipei CTBC will meet Dreamers in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kings will have a break next round.

Very expected game when Taipei TM was defeated by Aquas 88-71 on Saturday. Kaohsiung A. forced 20 Taipei TM turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Kaleb Wesson (208-1999, college: Ohio St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Malcolm Miller (201-1993, college: Holy Cross) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import Devin Oliver (203-1992, college: Dayton) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Kaohsiung A..
