Newly promoted Elitzur Maccabi Netanya (Winner League) inked 30-year old American ex-international 193cm guard Cody Demps (college: Sacramento State). Demps played most recently at New Taipei CTBC DEA in Taiwanese T1 League. In 18 games he averaged 14.9ppg, 7.1rpg, 4.2apg and 1.8spg last season. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. A very good season in his career as he was voted to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese T1 League Second Team.
The previous (2023) summer he played at Abejas in Mexican LNBP where in 38 games he had 9.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.4apg and 1.1spg in 2023 year. Demps contributed to his team ending the regular season as at the second position in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. He was a member of USA Senior National Team between 2020 and 2022.
Demps is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Demps has played previously professionally in Japan (Grouses), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva), NBA G League (Stockton Kings and G League Ignite), NBA Summer League (Indiana Pacers) and The Basketball Tournament (Loyalty is Love).
He won Balkan League championship title in 2023.
Demps graduated from Sacramento State in 2016 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
