The game was mostly controlled by Cathay Life. Taiyuan Textile managed to win fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cathay Life made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Cathay Life had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds. The former international Yi-Xiu Zheng (178-1993) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cathay Life players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Yemiyah Morris (198-1998, college: WVU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
