DeMarcus Cousins gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese T1 League (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced American DeMarcus Cousins (211-C/F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Taiwan Beer Leopards and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 33-year old had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Kaohsiung A. (#3, 15-13) 113-109. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Leopards maintains the 2nd position in Taiwanese T1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Taiwan Beer L. will need more victories to improve their 18-10 record. In the team's last game Cousins had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Leopards's top player in his first season with the team. DeMarcus Cousins averages this season 22.7ppg, 12.7rpg and 4.4apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Shannon Scott (191-PG-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Kaohsiung Aquas. Scott impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 27 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Bad luck as Aquas was edged by slightly higher-ranked Taiwan Beer L. (#2, 18-10) 113-109. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Kaohsiung A. still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 15-13 record is not bad at all. Scott is a newcomer at Kaohsiung A. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Kaohsiung A.'s star - Iranian Aaron Geramipoor (213-C-1992). Geramipoor showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Geramipoor's great performance the Kaohsiung Aquas lost 109-113 to #2 ranked Taiwan Beer L.. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Aquas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 13 lost games. Geramipoor has a very solid season. In 18 games in Taiwan he scored 12.4ppg. He also has 6.2rpg and a FGP of 59.5%.
