Cathay Life outrebounded Taipower 38-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Taipower's players. The best player for the winners was Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) who scored 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Yi-Xiu Zheng (178-1993) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Cathay Life's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wei-Qing Liao produced 25 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and Wei-Lin Wanga added 16 points respectively for Cathay Life.
