Calloo's double-double lands him SBL Player of the Week award

24-year old Canadian forward Maurice Calloo (208-F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Bank of Taiwan and receives a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Yulon Luxgen (#3, 15-15) 82-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Bank of Taiwan is placed at 2nd position in Taiwanese SBL. Bank of Taiwan is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-14 record. In the team's last game Calloo had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Bank of Taiwan's top player in his first season with the team. Maurice Calloo averages this season 28.4ppg and 9.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Erdenetsetseg Sugar-Ochir (200-C-1999) of Changhua. He is a center in his first season at Changhua. In the last game Sugar-Ochir recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Changhua cruised to a 80-69 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Taiwan Beer (#1, 20-10). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Changhua consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-21 record. Sugar-Ochir is a newcomer at Changhua and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.7ppg (#3). He also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Changhua's star - guard Chien-Chih Huang (189-G-1998). Huang scored 24 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Huang's great performance the Changhua lost 83-88 to #3 ranked Yulon Luxgen. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Changhua not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 21 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Huang could try to bring Changhua's a little bit higher in the standings. Huang has a very solid season. In 26 games in Taiwan he scored 5.6ppg.
