Morris number one in Taiwan WSBL for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Yemiyah Morris (198-C-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Taiyuan Textile, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Taipower (#4, 6-24) with 21-point margin 78-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Taiyuan Textile to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese WSBL. Taiyuan T. have a solid 25-5 record. Morris just recently signed at Taiyuan Textile, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former West Virginia University star has very solid stats this year. Morris is in league's top in points (3rd best: 12.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.3rpg) and averages impressive 2.0bpg and 62.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Australian Cayla George (193-C-1989) of league's second-best Cathay Life Tigers. George had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Cathay Life cruised to a 74-67 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Chunghua T. (#3, 6-24). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Cathay Life consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team's 23-7 record is not bad at all. George is one of the most experienced players at Cathay Life and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 11.6rpg and 3.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Wei-Lin Wanga of Taiwan Power (#4). Wanga scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Taipower, leading her team to a 66-57 win against #3 ranked Chunghua T.. Taipower can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 6-24 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Wanga has individually a great season in Taiwan. After 30 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.1rpg (3rd best).
