Huang's 12 points and 8 assists give her Player of the Week award

36-year old point guard Fan-Shan Huang (174-PG-1987) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Cathay Life Tigers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
She had the game-high 12 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Cathay Life in her team's victory, helping them to crush Chunghua T. (#3, 4-14) with 22-point margin 82-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Cathay Life maintains the 2nd position in Taiwanese WSBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cathay Life will need more victories to improve their 12-6 record. Huang has many years of experience at Cathay Life, through which she has constantly improved. Huang has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 4.1ppg), rebounds (9th best: 3.6rpg) and assists (2nd best: 3.3apg).

Second best performed player last round was Yushu Lin (168-G/F-1996) of Chunghua Telecom. She is international swingman in her 5th season at Chunghua T.. In the last game Lin recorded an impressive 25 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Chunghwa Telecom lost that game 49-77 to slightly higher-ranked Taiyuan T. (#1, 16-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Chunghua T. still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Chunghwa Telecom managed to get this year. Lin is one of the most experienced players at Chunghua T. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 9.7ppg (#3).

Third place about best performers goes to Wei-Qing Liao of Taiwan Power (#4). Liao got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. She went also for eight rebounds . Despite Liao's great performance the Taipower lost 70-72 to #2 ranked Cathay Life. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Taipower can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 4-14 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Liao has individually a great season in Taiwan. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.9ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 5.7rpg (4th best).
