An exciting game was when Taiyuan Textile faced Chunghwa Telecom. Taiyuan Textile defeated Chunghwa Telecom 73-56. Taiyuan T. outrebounded Chunghua T. 50-24 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) who scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Tieh Lin (182-1999) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Taiyuan Textile's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. An exciting game was when Cathay Life faced Taipower. Cathay Life defeated Taipower 76-71. Yu-Wen Xiao orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Wei-An Chen contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Cathay Life's coach let to play all 12 players in such tough game. The former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) replied with 20 points and 4 assists for Taipower.
