Kings add Mitchell to their roster- September 12, 2023
Part of last season he spent at Al Naft in Iraqi league where in two West Asia Super League games he averaged 3.0ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0bpg. He also played for Don Bosco (Moca Reg.League) in Dominican Rep. league that season. In 2013 he was drafted by Detroit Pistons (NBA) in second round (37th overall). The former University of North Texas star is in his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball. Mitchell is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in thirteen different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Mitchell has played previously professionally in Argentina (Instituto), China, Colombia (Hurricanes), France, Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Philippines (NLEX Road Warriors), Puerto Rico (Leones), Uruguay (Trouville and Urunday), Venezuela (Panteras and Gladiadores), United Arab Emirates (Al Wasl), Dominican Republic (Metros, Pueblo Nuevo, Leones and Barias), Mexico (Libertadores and Indomables) and Taiwan (Fubon Braves). He was also voted to Latinbasket.com Venezuelan LPB All-Imports Team back in 2016 and 2018. Mitchell played in the final of Balkan League in 2022.
