Fubon Braves sign Stephen Zimmerman, ex Arecibo

Taipei Fubon Braves (PLeague+) signed 26-year old American international center Stephen Zimmerman (211cm-109kg-1996, college: UNLV) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Zimmerman is the second foreigner player in the roster as Ukrainian Igor Zaytsev signed here earlier.
He played this summer at Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rican BSN league. He managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year. In only one BSN game just recently he recorded 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.
The most of last season he spent at Fukuoka Rizing in Japanese B2 League where in 11 games he had 10.1ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.9apg, 1.1spg and 1.5bpg. He also played for Toros in U.S. NBA-G-League. In only one game he averaged 8 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block.
In 2016 he was drafted by Orlando Magic (NBA) in second round (41st overall). Zimmerman attended University of Nevada - Las Vegas and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
He has been a member of USA international program for some years. Zimmerman has been regularly called to USA senior team since 2019 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2014.
He is quite experienced player. Zimmerman has played in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Australia (Cairns Taipans), Germany (Telekom Baskets), Poland (Twarde Pierniki), NBA (LA Lakers), Czech Republic (Nymburk) and NBA G League (South Bay Lakers, College Park SkyHawks, Westchester Knicks and Capital City Go-Go).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Czech Republic League championship title in 2021. Zimmerman was voted to Eurobasket.com Czech Republic League All-Imports Team in 2021.
