Philippines completed their mission to stay in Division A

Pilipinas qualified for the Semi-Finals as they overcame Chinese Taipei 92-81 in Day 3 of the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup. Philippines started the game with a 29-20 run and led 13 points at the halftime. Chinese Taipei replied with a 24-21 run in the third quarter, whilst Philippines closed the game with a final 20-19 rally. Lebanon will play Chinese Taipei and must win to survive in the top tier, whilst Philippines completed their first mission to stay in Division A.
Vanessa De Jesus (173-G-2002) steppe dup with 25 points and Afril Bernardino (165-G-1991) delivered 18. Yu-Ting Lin (179-F/G-1994) replied with 21 points and 10 rebounds in a loss and I-Hsiu Cheng as well as Han Ya-En (180-F-1995) had 15 each.
