Cathay Life repeated as WSBL champions. They stunned Taiyuan in Game 2 of the Finals to complete the sweep. The game without a history. Cathay Life led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Cathay Life forced 19 Taiyuan Textile turnovers. The former international swingman Yu-Ting Lin (179-1994) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Yi-Xiu Zheng (178-1993) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Cathay Life players scored in double figures. The former international guard Ying-Li Huang (170-1989) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and the former international center Pei-Chen Tsai (186-1984) scored 6 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
