Taiyuan Textile outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 43-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. The former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) scored 18 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Ching Cho (172-1997) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Shi-Zan Xu responded with 17 points and guard You-Yiwen Wang (175-1996) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
