Thabeet number one in Taiwan T1 League for round 43

Tanzanian Center Hasheem Thabeet (218-C-1987) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for TB Herobears, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 43.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Taoyuan L. (#6, 6-24) 93-86. TB Herobears is placed at 3rd position in Taiwanese T1 League. TB Herobears is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 16-14 record. In the team's last game Thabeet had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at TB Herobears, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Hasheem Thabeet averages this season 14.5ppg and 10.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Maltese Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) of league's second-best Tainan GH. Deguara had a very good evening with a double-double of 36 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Tainan GH lost that game 102-114 to slightly higher-ranked N.Taipei CTBC (#1, 25-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tainan GH still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 19-11 record is not bad at all. Deguara is a newcomer at Tainan GH, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#8). He also registered 11.6 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Deyonta Davis (211-PF-1996, agency: MSG) of Taoyuan L. (#6). Davis got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for twenty five rebounds . Despite Davis' great performance Taoyuan L. lost 86-93 to the higher-ranked TB Herobears (#3, 16-14). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Taoyuan L. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 6-24 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Davis has individually a great season in Taiwan. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.4rpg (7th best). He also has 2.2bpg and FGP: 60.4%.
