N.Taipei CTBC - Tainan GH 114-102 Very significant was N.Taipei CTBC's (#1, 24-5) victory against their biggest opponent GhostHawks (19-11) 114-102. N.Taipei CTBC forced 20 GhostHawks turnovers. Strangely GhostHawks outrebounded N.Taipei CTBC 55-40 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by GhostHawks' players. It was a great evening for American forward Nick King (201-1995, college: MTSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Croatian center Kristijan Krajina (208-1990, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: 011 Sports) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Maltese center Samuel Deguara (230-1991) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Han-sheng Lee (177-1994) scored 19 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. N.Taipei CTBC maintains first place with 24-5 record. GhostHawks at the other side keep the second position with 11 games lost. N.Taipei CTBC are looking forward to face Suns (#5) in Taichung in the next round. GhostHawks will have a break next round. TB Herobears forced 21 Leopards turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Tanzanian center Hasheem Thabeet (218-1987, college: UConn) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) helped adding 25 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 8 steals (made all of his seven free throws). TB Herobears' coach Chih-hao Yang used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American Deyonta Davis (211-1996, college: Michigan St., agency: MSG) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 25 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international forward Hsiao-Jung Chen (181-1990) scored 23 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TB Herobears have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Leopards lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games.
