T1 League Round 41: TB Herobears edge Suns by three points

The Regular Season in T1 League is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Fifth-ranked Suns (8-20) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked TB Herobears (15-14) in Taichung on Saturday. TB Herobears managed to secure only three-point victory 98-95. However their fans expected easier game. TB Herobears looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Perry Jones III (211-1991, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Yu-An Chiang (174-1991) chipped in 20 points and 13 assists. American center Arnett Moultrie (208-1990, college: MSU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for TB Herobears. Suns' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. TB Herobears have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kaohsiung A. Suns at the other side keep the fifth position with 20 games lost. TB Herobears will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Suns will play at home against Aquas (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

American forward Marcus Weathers (196-1997, college: SMU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. Samuel Deguara contributed with 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. American Deyonta Davis (211-1996, college: Michigan St., agency: MSG) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 19 rebounds for Leopards. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. GhostHawks have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 19-10 record having three points less than leader N.Taipei CTBC. Leopards lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. GhostHawks will play against league's leader N.Taipei CTBC at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leopards will have a break next round.
