Berzins' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

37-year old center Kaspars Berzins (213-C-1985) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team N.Taipei CTBC and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 33.
He had a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Taichung Suns (#5, 6-16) 97-82. It allowed N.Taipei CTBC to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese league. N.Taipei CTBC have a solid 18-4 record. In the team's last game Berzins had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at N.Taipei CTBC, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Kaspars Berzins averages this season 8.8ppg and 6.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Michael Qualls (197-G-1994) of TB Herobears. He is American guard in his first season at TB Herobears. In the last game Qualls recorded impressive 37 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. It was enough for TB Herobears to edge slightly lower-ranked Taoyuan L. (#6, 5-16) by 1 point 99-98. TB Herobears' 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Third place about best performers goes to center Arnett Moultrie (208-C-1990) of Taichung Suns (#5). Moultrie showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, ten rebounds and eight assists in the last round. Despite Moultrie's great performance Taichung Suns lost 82-97 to the higher-ranked N.Taipei CTBC (#1, 18-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Taichung Suns can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 6-16 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Moultrie has a very solid season. In 3 games in Taiwan he scored 21.3ppg.
