T1 League Round 33: TB Herobears edge Leopards by one point

The Regular Season in T1 League is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 6 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Sixth-ranked Leopards (5-16) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked TB Herobears (11-12) in Taoyuan on Sunday. TB Herobears managed to secure only one-point victory 99-98. However their fans expected easier game. TB Herobears made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) who scored 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Milenko Veljkovic (218-1995) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Dwight Howard (211-1985) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 21 rebounds. TB Herobears maintains fourth place with 11-12 record. Leopards at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. TB Herobears are looking forward to face league's leader N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leopards will play against the league's second-placed GhostHawks (#2) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

American center Arnett Moultrie (208-1990, college: MSU) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for Suns. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. N.Taipei CTBC (18-4) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place. Suns lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 16 games lost. N.Taipei CTBC will play against TB Herobears (#4) at home in the next round. Suns will have a break next round.

Taichung Suns - N.Taipei CTBC 82-97

Leader N.Taipei CTBC delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Suns (6-16) 97-82 in Taichung. N.Taipei CTBC dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Suns' 34. N.Taipei CTBC forced 20 Suns turnovers and outrebounded them 51-40 including 36 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists.
