T1 League Round 31: Aquas lose to GhostHawks in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Very significant was GhostHawks' (#2, 14-8) victory against 3rd placed Aquas (13-11) 106-94. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aquas. GhostHawks made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American center Robert Upshaw (213-1994, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) helped adding 22 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Aquas' coach rotated thirteen players in this game, but that didn't help. GhostHawks (14-8) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place having just two points less than leader N.Taipei CTBC. Defending champion Aquas keep the third position with 11 games lost. GhostHawks are looking forward to face Suns (#5) in Taichung in the next round. Aquas will play on the road against Leopards in Taoyuan and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Taoyuan was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked TB Herobears (10-12) played at the court of 6th ranked Leopards (4-15). TB Herobears defeated Leopards 110-95. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Branden Dawson accounted for 18 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Center Dwight Howard (211-1985) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 27 rebounds and 7 assists for Leopards in the defeat. Leopards' coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TB Herobears maintains fourth place with 10-12 record. Leopards lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. TB Herobears will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Leopards will play at home against Aquas (#3) and hope to get back on the winning track.



Kaohsiung A. - Tainan GH 94-106
