Deguara number one in Taiwan T1 League for round 20 (by Hoops Agents)

Maltese Center Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) had a very impressive game in the last round for Tainan GH, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds, while his team edged out TB Herobears (#4, 7-6) 105-102. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Tainan GH is placed at 3rd position in Taiwanese T1 League. Tainan GH is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-7 record. Deguara turned to be Tainan GH's top player in his first season with the team. Samuel Deguara has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.7ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.0rpg) and averages impressive 67.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Branden Dawson (200-F-1993) of TB Herobears. Dawson had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as TB Herobears was edged by slightly higher-ranked Tainan GH (#3, 8-7) 105-102. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. TB Herobears still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-6 record is not bad at all. Dawson is a newcomer at TB Herobears, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 11.6rpg and 3.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another TB Herobears' star - guard Xun-Xiang Tsao (181-G-1999). Tsao scored 24 points and passed six assists. Despite Tsao's great performance TB Herobears lost 102-105 to #3 ranked Tainan GH. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing TB Herobears needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 6 lost games. Tsao has a very solid season. In 13 games in Taiwan he scored 7.5ppg. He also has 3.3apg and FGP: 53.4%.
