Dawson's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

29-year old forward Branden Dawson (200-F-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for TB Herobears and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Tainan GH (#3, 6-6) 112-109. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. TB Herobears maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese league. TB Herobears is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Dawson had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be TB Herobears' top player in his first season with the team. Michigan State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Dawson is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.9ppg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 2.9spg.

Second best performed player last round was Adam Lapeta (217-C-1987, agency: Interperformances) of Taoyuan L.. He is Polish center in his first season at Taoyuan L.. In the last game Lapeta recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Taoyuan L. lost that game 71-96 to slightly higher-ranked Taichung Suns (#5, 5-6). Taoyuan L. are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Taoyuan L. managed to get this year. Lapeta is a newcomer at Taoyuan L. and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to center Samuel Deguara (230-C-1991) of Tainan GH (#3). Deguara got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds . Despite Deguara's great performance Tainan GH lost 109-112 to #4 ranked TB Herobears. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Tainan GH needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Deguara has a great season in Taiwan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 10.9rpg (4th best).
