Du number one in Taiwan T1 League for round 5

Guard Yu-Cheng Du (183-G-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Taoyuan L., receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 38 points and 25 rebounds, while his team beat N.Taipei CTBC (#1, 3-2) 120-115. Thanks to this victory Taoyuan L. moved-up to the 6th position in Taiwanese T1 League. Taoyuan L. is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 1-2 record. In the team's last game Du had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Taoyuan L. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Yu-Cheng Du has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 17.0rpg. Du is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 9.5apg) and averages impressive 2.5bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Mohammad Al Bachir (188-F-1998) of league's leader N.Taipei CTBC. Al Bachir had a very good evening with 51 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as N.Taipei CTBC lost that game 115-120 to the lower-ranked Taoyuan L. (#6, 1-2). N.Taipei CTBC managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. His team has currently 3-2 record. Al Bachir is well-known at N.Taipei CTBC and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.2ppg (#4). He also registered 6.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (202-F-1989, agency: 011 Sports) of Taichung Suns (#3). Bishop showcased his all-around game by recording 26 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Taichung Suns, leading his team to a 103-94 win against the lower-ranked Taoyuan L. (#6, 1-2). Taichung Suns needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Bishop has a great season in Taiwan.
