Jones' double-double lands him SBL Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old power forward Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Yulon Luxgen and receives a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Pauian (#5, 1-16) with 16-point margin 81-65. Yulon Luxgen is placed at 3rd position in Taiwanese SBL. Yulon Luxgen is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-10 record. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 65.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Yulon Luxgen, through which he has constantly improved. William Penn University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 26.9ppg. Jones is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 14.7rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Jalen Robinson (206-F/C-1993) of Jeoutai. He is American forward in his first (recently joined) season at Jeoutai. In the last game Robinson recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Jeoutai lost that game 65-78 to slightly higher-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#2, 14-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Jeoutai still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-11 record. Robinson is one of the most experienced players at Jeoutai and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#2). He also registered 15.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Zak Irvin (198-G/F-1994) of league's second-best Bank of Taiwan. Irvin showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bank of Taiwan, leading his team to a 97-74 easy win against #1 ranked Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 5 lost games. Irvin has a great season in Taiwan. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.7ppg (9th best), rebounds with 7.4rpg (9th best) and assists with 5.3apg (2nd best).
