Kentrell Barkley gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese SBL

American Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Taiwan Beer and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 25-year old swingman had a double-double of 30 points and twelve rebounds, while his team crushed Pauian (#5, 1-14) with 16-point margin 72-56. It allowed Taiwan Beer to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese SBL. Taiwan Beer have a solid 15-2 record. In the team's last game Barkley had a remarkable 92.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Taiwan Beer, through which he has constantly improved. Kentrell Barkley averages this season 28.0ppg and 10.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American power forward Torren Jones (206-F/C-1994) of Yulon Luxgen. Jones impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Yulon Luxgen lost that game 72-90 to slightly higher-ranked Jeoutai (#3, 7-9). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Yulon Luxgen still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-10 record. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Yulon Luxgen and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.6ppg (#1). He also registered 14.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Jalen Robinson (206-F/C-1993) of Jeoutai (#3). Robinson scored 29 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Jeoutai, leading his team to a 90-72 easy win against #4 ranked Yulon Luxgen. The chances of Jeoutai ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Robinson could help Jeoutai to bring them higher in the standings. Robinson has a great season in Taiwan. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.4ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 15.4rpg (#1 in league).
