Barkley number one in Taiwanese SBL for round 6

American Swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Taiwan Beer, receiving a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (40 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass Yulon Luxgen (#3, 5-8) with 30-point margin 92-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Taiwan Beer to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese SBL. Taiwan Beer has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Barkley had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Taiwan Beer, through which he has constantly improved. Kentrell Barkley averages just after two games 33.0ppg and 8.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Nicholas Wiggins (198-G/F-1991) of Jeoutai. Wiggins had a very good evening with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course he led Jeoutai to another comfortable win 84-65 over slightly lower-ranked Pauian (#5, 1-12) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Jeoutai slide down in the standings to 4th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Wiggins is one of the most experienced players at Jeoutai and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 7.3rpg and 3.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ishmael Lane (203-F/C-1997) of league's second-best Bank of Taiwan. Lane scored 29 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Bank of Taiwan, leading his team to a 90-79 win against #4 ranked Jeoutai in a game of the week. Bank of Taiwan needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Lane has a great season in Taiwan. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (5th best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 58.3%.
