GhostHawks tab Marcus Gilbert, ex Apoel

Tainan GhostHawks (T1 League) inked 29-year old American 198cm forward Marcus Gilbert (college: Fairfield). Gilbert played most recently at Apoel in Cypriot OPAP Basket League. In 24 games he averaged 14.3ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.0apg and 1.2spg last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
Gilbert was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Honorable Mention in 2021.
The previous (19-20) season he played at Ifestos in Greek A1 where in 15 games he had 5.3ppg and 2.1rpg.
He has played also professionally in Italy (Ferentino and Cestistica Viola Reggio Calabria), Portugal (FC Porto) and Spain (Palma).
Gilbert played in the final of Spanish LEB Gold Play-Off in 2019.
He attended Fairfield University until 2016 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
