SBL Round 1: Bank of Taiwan lose to Jeoutai

The Regular Season in SBL just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game of round 1 was a defeat of Bank of Taiwan. They were defeated by Jeoutai 82-70 on Saturday night. Jeoutai outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 50-35 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 22 rebounds for the winners and center Xiang Wang (202-90) chipped in 24 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side forward Yu-Zhu Chen (195-90) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Bank of Taiwan's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Bank of Taiwan will play next round against Pauian trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Jeoutai will try to continue on its current victory against Yulon Luxgen at home.
Taiwan Beer defeated Yulon Luxgen in Taipei 78-68. American guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) nailed a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side and Doral Moore accounted for 8 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Ba Ban (203-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for Yulon Luxgen in the defeat. Yulon Luxgen will play next round against strong Jeoutai trying to get back on the winning streak. Taiwan Beer will try to continue on its current victory against Pauian on the road.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer will meet Pauian in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Pauian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 1 Jeoutai won against Pauian 81-71.

Bank of Taiwan - Taiwan Beer 68-92

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bank of Taiwan against Taiwan Beer on Sunday night. Taiwan Beer were rolled over by Taiwan Beer 92-68. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 45-33 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Doral Moore (216-97, college: Wake Forest) fired 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import guard Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Wei-Chen Chou (188-96) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American swingman Zak Irvin (198-94, college: Michigan) added 13 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Taiwan Beer will meet Pauian in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Pauian and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather expected game when Pauian was defeated by Jeoutai 81-71 on Sunday. Jeoutai dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 34. They outrebounded Pauian 50-33 including 37 on the defensive glass. Jeoutai looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Center Xiang Wang (202-90) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Jia-Le Yuan (170-95) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Zhuang You (190-95) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Pauian players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jeoutai will meet Yulon Luxgen in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Pauian will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
