Caroline number one in Taiwan for round 21- April 26, 2021
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 43 points and 12 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Pauian (14-26) 74-78. Jutai Techn. moved-up to the 5th position in Taiwanese SBL. Jutai Techn. is bottom ranked team in the standings. But it was their 26th lost game this season out of 40 games. In the team's last game Caroline had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Jutai Techn., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The University of Nevada star has very solid stats this year. Caroline is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.5ppg. Caroline is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 15.1rpg) and averages impressive 52.2% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old Dan Qiao (200-C-92) of Pauian. Qiao had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Pauian cruised to a 85-77 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#3, 15-25). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Pauian consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-26 record. Qiao is a newcomer at Pauian, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.9ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 16.2rpg and 4.4apg. Third on the list of top players last round was U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-F-91) of league's second-best Yulon Luxgen. Christmas scored 28 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Yulon Luxgen, leading his team to a 75-67 win against #3 ranked Bank of Taiwan. Yulon Luxgen needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 26 victories and 14 lost games. Christmas has a great season in Taiwan. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.7rpg (5th best). Po-Chen Chou (196-SG-90) of Yulon Luxgen - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists 8. Po-Hsun Chou (197-PF-91) of Taiwan Beer - 9 points and 11 rebounds 9. Huan-Ya Yu (183-G-93) of Jutai Techn. - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists 10.
