Jordan Caroline gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese SBL (by Hoops Agents)- March 29, 2021
The 24-year old swingman had a double-double of 39 points and twenty seven rebounds, while his team lost the game against Bank of Taiwan (#3, 12-17) 69-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Jutai Techn. maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese SBL. Jutai Techn. is currently ranked second from the bottom. But it was their 20th lost game this season out of 29 games. In the team's last game Caroline had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Jutai Techn., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jordan Caroline averages this season 29.0ppg and 16.4rpg. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old center Dan Qiao (200-C-92) of Pauian. Qiao impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Pauian to another comfortable win 76-57 over the higher-ranked Taiwan Beer (#1, 27-2) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory they still are dead at the bottom. 24 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Pauian managed to get this year. Qiao is a newcomer at Pauian and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 15.7rpg and 4.0apg. The third best performed player last round was American Zak Irvin (198-G/F-94) of Bank of Taiwan (#3). Irvin showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Bank of Taiwan, leading his team to a 81-69 win against #4 ranked Jutai Techn. in a game of the week. The chances of Bank of Taiwan ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 17 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Irvin could help Bank of Taiwan to bring them higher in the standings. Irvin has a great season in Taiwan. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.2ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 8.5rpg (7th best) and assists with 5.4apg (best passer). Other top performing players last week: 4. Li Kai-Yan (182-PG-93) of Yulon Luxgen - 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists 5. Chia-Chun Wu (177-PG-94) of Pauian - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists 6. Guan-Liang Lu (185-G-90) of Yulon Luxgen - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists 7. Ren-Hong Lin (195-F-93) of Jutai Techn. - 22 points and 6 rebounds 8. Zhaonan Guo (192-G-92) of Yulon Luxgen - 17 points and 4 rebounds 9. Po-Hsun Chou (197-PF-91) of Taiwan Beer - 10 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists 10. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
