Branden Dawson joins Lioneers- February 21, 2021
In 2015 Dawson was drafted by New Orleans Hornets (NBA) in second round (56th overall). He attended Michigan State and it is his seventh season in pro basketball. Dawson is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. Dawson tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Israel (Bnei Hasharon), Japan (Hitachi Sunrockers), Mexico (Soles and Gigantes), Philippines (Alaska Aces), NBA (LA Clippers and Orlando Magic), Dominican Republic (Mauricio Baez, Caneros Del Este, La Mattica, La Villa and San Sebastian) and NBA G League (College Park S. and Grand Rapids D.). The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Dawson played in the final of Dominican Republic TBS League in 2019. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LNB Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. On Dawson: Owns incredible rebounding instincts both on the offensive and defensive end. Possesses wide, strong frame that allows him to attack the paint and finish above the rim Strength and length allow him to defend multiple positions.
