Michael Singletary (ex Mono Vampire) is a newcomer at Fubon Braves

Fubon Braves (A-League) added to their roster 32-year old American forward Michael Singletary (198-103kg-88, college: Texas Tech). He has played for the last three seasons at Mono Vampire in Thailand TBL league. In 16 ASEAN League games he was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 22.4ppg and had 10.1rpg, 3.5apg and 1.9spg (in top 5) previous season. Singletary helped them to win the regular season. Quite impressive year as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Forward of the Year.
In 2012 (a year after he left the college) Singletary was drafted by Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) in third round (34th overall).
The former Texas Tech University star is in his tenth season in pro basketball.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Singletary's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eight different countries. Singletary has played previously professionally in Belgium, Greece, Italy, Japan (Osaka Evessa), Montenegro, Philippines (Barako Bull and SM Beermen), Uruguay (Bigua) and NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Thailand TBSL championship title for two years in a row (2017 and 2018). Singletary was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand TBSL Player of the Year in 2018.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A scoring wing, who, when hot, is virtually unstoppable. Can score from the outside or post up. Strong frame and a great rebounder.
